3 weeks ago, the car would not start. Turned over yet sounded like no fuel. Prepped car to do fuel pump. Disconnected the negative cable on battery and removed fuse. I bought said fuel pump. Decided to reconnect and try it. It started up. Now, it won't start. Sounds the same when trying. Also, in btwn and prior to all this. The car never stalled and showed 0 signs of fuel pump issues.

Hi,

When you have a crank with no start condition, it is usually one of two things, fuel or ignition spark issues. Here is what I need you to try:

First, see if it starts if you use starting fluid. If it does and then stalls, we know it is still related to a fuel problem. If there is no change with starting fluid, check to see if there is spark at the plugs. Here is a link that explains how to check:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-for-ignition-spark

Also, if you haven't already, check the fuse and the fuel pump relay to make sure it isn't failing. The fuse is fuse 11 in the under-hood fuse box see pic 2 below. The fuel pump relay is located in the relay block on the back side of the glove box. See pic 1

Let me know what you find.

Take care,

Joe
