I was in reverse and stopped, I tried change to 1st gear and could not get out of reverse. I kept my foot on the clutch and the car stalled. I tried to restart ND the car tried go backwards. I gamed the shifter into neutral and could not get in any gear. I started the car in neutral and jammed the car into 1st. With the clutch to the floor my car still wanted to go. I drove my car 1 mile home and stopped on a front end up incline and car shifted fine. I turned the car off. Then back on and back with not able shift gears.

Hi,

It sounds like you either have low clutch fluid, a bad clutch master cylinder, or a faulty slave cylinder.

First, open the hood and locate the clutch master cylinder on the firewall. It will be on the opposite side of the firewall from the clutch pedal. (See pic 1) Check the fluid level.

If the fluid is low, try filling it with Dot 3 or 4 brake fluid. And try the clutch.

Also, check for leaks at the master cylinder, the slave cylinder, and the line between the two.

Pic 2 shows the slave cylinder which is mounted to the bell housing of the transmission. I highlighted them in the pics.

Do this and let me know what you find.

Joe
