will not go over 2000 rpm's sometime.

Driving down road and truck will loose power. Will not rev over 2000 rpm's. Can turn off key and let set for about 5 min. and will run ok for awhile, then it will happen again. No check engine light every comes on when it happens.

Sounds like a fuel problem. Have a 95 pontiac firebird and was doing the same thing, what you should do is check the fuel pressure. On our pontiac we had to put in a new fuel pump which it did not need and the pump screen. With the ethenal in the gas will clog up filters, We also used seafoam in the gas tank , it helps get rid of the crud in the gas tank
