I pulled the transmission and replaced the RMS. After reassembly the transmission, it does not want to engage the gears to move forward or reverse. Upon completion, it moved just enough to back out of my garage but struggled. Only when I put a decent amount of gas to it did it move.
This morning, I cranked and tried again to no avail.
The gear lever on the dash moves as if it is putting in R, N , D but no motion. The engine revs up to around 2,000 RPMs when I move from N to D or N to R.
I assume I assembled something incorrectly but I'm not sure what.
Thanks for any help.

Sorry but I have to ask is the transmission fluid full? It sounds like you have lost hydraulic pressure like the fluid filter fell off or is not installed. Also, the throttle control valve must be connected and adjusted correctly. Check out the images (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.
