Transmiission will not engage drive?

Was driving down the road then the car would not accelerate. Gear shift slipped very easy from park to drive without pressing break.

So does it feel like the gear shift cable broke or has disconnected? It sounds like you may have run over something that caused the problem. Here is where to look for the problem. I did get that replaced but the shifter still moves.

So you can see the shifter working the transmission selector arm? If so something inside the transmission has broken or has come undone. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.
