Will not stay runnung?

1988 TOYOTA PICKUP
108,000 MILES • 2.4L • 4 CYL • 2WD • AUTOMATIC

When attempting to start the vehicle, it will turn over for just a few seconds and stops. You can hear the fuel pump running. Never had any prior issues. Help!
