Went to crank the pilot one morning and it would crank but wouldn't fire. I'm getting a humming from the fuel pump when key is turned on. I tried spraying starter fluid into injector and cranked but still no fire. This model doesn't have a distributor so I doubt each coil went out at the same time. Any recommendations on what to check next?

Hello,

This sounds like you could have a problem with your vehicle's Camshaft Position Sensor[CMP]. In the diagrams down below I have included the instructions for the removal and installation of your vehicle's CMP, the Original Equipment Manufacturer[OEM] part number for reference, and the location of the CMP for you. Please go through these guides and get back to us with how everything turns out.

Thanks,
Alex

Thanks Alex, but It ended up being the EGR valve. I cleaned it and put it back on and it's been okay since. Not sure why it didn't throw a diagnostic code.

Hello again,

I'm glad to hear you got it started. In the diagrams down below I have included a guide explaining how to find intermittent electrical problems in an automotive electrical circuit for you, in case this problem comes back. Please go through this guide and keep in mind that the Power-train Control Module [PCM] uses the signal from your vehicle's Camshaft Position Sensor [CMP] to fire the spark plugs.

Thanks,
Alex
