Bought vehicle few weeks ago. Coolant low came on after approximately one hundred and fifty miles. Added to reservoir. Coolant light came on after another approximately one hundred and fifty miles added more to fill reservoir. Had oil changed and told oil was four quarts over full, very dirty and coolant in oil. Not overheating, but heat not hot. Help. :(

Most of them do not work. From your description you have a large leak and they do not work well on those regardless. The best repair will be to replace the gasket and get the head cut, or because it had a lot of coolant in it and this may have been an ongoing issue you might consider a used engine.

If this is a 4.0 engine they have a major problem with the head cracking so you need to be sure to have it tested for that at the machine shop while you have it off.
