I bought this portable jump box and charged it all the way up to jump my car off, but when I hook it up to my battery and turn it on it will make a little clicking sound and if I open my door the lights will come on for a second then it goes off. When I take the jump box off it's still completely drained. Is this because my battery is too drained to jump off or I need a new battery?

Good afternoon,

It is either the connections to the jumper pack or the car battery is internally shorted. Most like it needs a new battery and the charging system tested.
