Hello and thanks for your question!

First of all, make sure the new motor has oil in it, and turn it over by hand and make sure there is not any unreasonable resistance.

Second, it is not uncommon for new starter motors to be duds. As simple as it can be, I would bench test the starter or just swap it out if you still have the receipt.

You mentioned grounds are good, but have you tried jumping the starter? Could be a loose hot wire instead of a ground.

Let us know

I took the relay and jumped it. It moved then stopped.

Hi,

I know it's a tight fit, but can you jump the starter using only the connections at the starter motor?

And can you confirm the engine will at least turn?

At the moment I would try another starter, as it sounds like it could be a dud.

Let us know,

Starter working it’s turning the fly wheel and the motor can spin over by hand.

Hello,

Thanks for getting back to us. This is great news! Sometimes it's the small things in a big repair that give us the most headache.
