I bought the car 9 days ago from a elderly man in the neighborhood who led me to believe that he owned car for years. First day my wife drives about 30 miles from home calls me car says it's overheating I go and stop the leak. Radiator hose clamp is like nothing I have ever seen. Yesterday she says every time she encounters a low curb she hits her front, sounds awful. I'm no mechanic. I'm also semi coordinated and a smart feller. Anyway as I'm walking up I do see something hanging. Also today when you start the car the cooling fans come on and stay on. Oh yeah, open the hood looking straight the 2 aluminum parts of or the radiator have fallen down. I'm going to look this morning. Help

I think this sounds worse then it is. If I am correct then the part hanging down is just the under-body shroud that will get hung up on curbs due to the front end hanging low. It can be secured back in place but normally some of the clips will be broken. Your wife will just have to get used to stopping before the curb so that the bumper doesn't actually go over it.

As for the leak, I am not sure I understand but did you get that resolved or not?

The cooling fans staying on may be due to a sensor being damaged but let's get some pictures of the issues and go from there.

Also we need to check for codes just to make sure we are going in the right direction.

Looks like this post is related to the link below. If so, we need to definitely get some pictures. Just respond to the other post as that has more detail and we can figure out what happened but I suspect we have an issue with the radiator supports or it wasn't installed properly.

Let us know on the other post and we can go from there. Thanks

Sorry for any confusion. It looks like our Admin team combined the two related posts so if you can post the pictures of what is going on with the radiator to this post we will figure out what is going on. Thanks

Sorry for the confusion. It looks like there were two separate posts on this issue so they Admin of the site combined them into just one. It is not a big deal. Let's just get the pictures whenever you can and we can take the next steps. No rush we will be here. Thanks

What I surmise is the person my girl bought this nightmare of a car from, intimated to me he owned this car forever. When in fact he had it 2 months. Finally had time Saturday to look at Kompressor in some detail. The alum radiator has broken its moorings and slipped down. I managed to get it back up to where it's better. Used zip ties because everything else is destroyed passenger side is really messed up. What I am thinking is taking the car and my self over to his house. Lay out what it is see what he will do.

Unbelievable. It is unfortunate that some people are this way. I agree, if you know who he is, I would see if he is willing to help out with the repair because clearly that was most of the way that way when she bought it.

Just a shame. Let us know how it works out. Thanks. Good luck.
