Whining noise

Make sure you use power steering fluid not transmission fluid as a lot of auto parts people say it is the same which it is not. The noise may be a loose belt and or the valve in pump has to much clearance causing it, which wont hurt anything. You may have air in system as well which if you turn to lock one way and hold it for thirty seconds then do the same in opposite direction. Repeat this ten times and it may go away.
