whining noise while driving?

My daughter's vehicle listed above has started making a deep-toned whining noise when she is driving it at higher speeds, i.e. 55+ MPH. My initial thought was that it could be a wheel bearing hub because of the mileage she has on her car, but I want to be sure before she starts throwing money at it.

Is the noise coming from the front or rear also does it follow the engine speed? I would check the front tires for scallops and then rotate them to the rear. Also, you may be able to steer the car slightly one way or the other to help change the noise to confirm the bear hub failure.

The front bearing hub does not look that hard to change out. Check out the images (below). Please upload pictures or videos in your response of any problems so we can see what to help you with.
