As soon as I start the car there is a whining noise coming from under the hood?

The noise only happens when I start the car and in first gear as I accelerate. Once it switches into second gear it stops.

Hi,
If it goes away when the vehicle shifts to second, does it return when you come to a stop, and it downshifts to first again?
Also, have you checked things such as the power steering fluid and transmission fluid?

Let me know. If possible, record the sound and upload it for me to hear. I may recognize the noise.
Take care,
Joe
