Problem solved. I thought you might like to know how:

My truck started having problems in 2015 through late 2017. Locks cycling, all the electric acting as though the battery was shorting, the truck shutting off completely in rush hour traffic. I could always start it again after a minute or so. I replaced the battery, alternator, and ignition switch. That did not help.
I took it to an Auto Electric shop, a dealer, and more, with no success. I did find that if I disconnected then reconnected the battery, the truck worked fine for a week or two without incident. The dealer found an anomaly in the OnStar system and pulled the fuse. That did not help. But, the last time it did its’ thing, it blew out the radio. When I replaced the radio, I saw that all the wiring went through an OnStar component. I took out the OnStar component. The new radio works fine and I have not had the problem for months.

This post was made just for me. I too have had these same issues. When I get home today, I will be removing the radio to check and see if it's the culprit. 2013 Silverado 4.8L V8 146,000.
