Hi,

It's just a pump. If you look below, I attached the directions for removal and replacement.

Let me know if that helps.

Take care,

Joe

Joe,

There's no fuel sending unit attached to the fuel pump assy. This is the second time I have replaced the pump. I strongly believe it's not the correct fuel pump assy. They are four fuel lines going in the fuel pump assy. I only have 2- one for fuel pressure going out and the other one is the return line before I replace the pump. What's next? Thank you

If it's just a pump, how does it send the fuel level back to the dash? I don't see any wiring for the float and there's no float at all except for the 2-wiring for the pump.

Hi,

I didn't realize it was you. LOL From what I am reading, there are two separate locations for the fuel level sender. If you look at the pics below, the first shows the tank for a standard cab and the second for an extended cab.

Which one do you have and let me know if this helps.

Take care,

Joe

It's an extended cab Joe, it was nice of you to answer it. The only thing I need is where is the fuel sending unit going crazy locating it, it doesn't list on the image where at. I think they changed the fuel pump assembly before I bought this piece of kabuba-lol

The first shows the tank for a standard cab and the second for an extended cab. No image of the extended cab.

Which yellow hole is the fuel sending unit at-bottom or top hole-the tank looks about right? Reason why I need the fuel sending unit because my fuel gauge is not working trying to trouble shoot from there to the dash

Also, can you provide the wire colors to the FSU?

The manual is really confusing. It contradicts itself several times. Looking at the tank and a picture of the fuel pump, I would believe the float would be on the side. The pics of the pump don't show anyway it would angle toward the bottom of the tank,

Take a look and let me know if that makes sense to you.

Take care,

Joe

Hi,

Looking at things, I believe it will be the lower one. As mentioned, the manual is a bit confusing. However, it makes more sense to me that it would be the lower one.

I wish I could give you a 100% response, but I can't tell for sure based on the manual.

Let me know what you find or if you have questions.

Take care,

Joe
