Do I have to drop the gas tank to get to the fuel pump? On the car listed above (De Coupe)?

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.com.

The fuel pump is in the fuel tank. I believe the tank requires removal. However, under the rear seat, there is a large plug that can be removed. I believe it is only for the level sensor, but confirm that. It has been some time since I had one of these in my shop for repair.
Here is a link that shows general directions for pump replacement:

Here is a link that shows how to check a fuel pump (if needed):
https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-fuel-system-pressure-and-regulator

Here are the specifications for pump pressure:

Curb idle, 38 PSI

Curb idle w/vacuum disconnected, 47 - 50 PSI

I have attached a picture of under the rear seat, where the plug is located. Also, I attached an exploded view of the tank and its components. It should help if the tank needs removed and as I mentioned, I feel confident it does.

Let me know if this helps or if you have other questions.

Take care,
Joe
