Chrysler is the only manufacturer that never needed a mass air flow sensor. All other manufacturers used them, with few exceptions. Your truck is one of those exceptions. When used, the mass air flow sensor has the biggest say in fuel metering calculations. When not used, that job falls on the MAP sensor.
This drawing shows the location of the MAP sensor next to the throttle body assembly. It was hard to read, so I added the blue arrow.
