Left turn signal light bulb comes on but wont flash, left emergency flasher light wont flash, left turn signal switch inside car light flashes fast. Replaced bulbs and fuse but lights on left side still wont flash. I think it is the turn signal relay, but I can't locate it or find a diagram of it on line. I don't know where it is located at to replace relay.

Hello,

This could be a problem with your Body Control Module (BCM), which is located by the steering wheel column. It controls many functions, but the hazard/turn signal operation is one of them. It accomplishes this by supplying battery voltage to the bulbs at regular intervals when the flasher or turn signal switch is applied. In the diagrams down below I have included diagrams and descriptions for the BCM, Instrument Panel Fuse Block (which includes the flasher relay), and the Turn Signal/Flasher operation, as well as a complete set of the exterior lighting descriptions. Please get back to us with what you are able to find out. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.

Good evening,

There is no flasher for this as in the older cars. The newer cars, the flasher is the body control module.

This guide can help

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/turn-signals-not-working-blinker

The turn signal flasher function is performed by the Body Control Module (BCM).

What is your exact issue?

Here's the problem, I have a 2005 grand prix and it is driving me insane. The problems is with the electrical in the lights. Blinkers and out. They are the front passenger and the rear driver side blinkers. The other two work. The real brake light doesnt work. The The two blinkers that dont work are on all the time they just dont blink. Even when the turn signal is off. I dont know what to do

First check your ground as it sounds like that may be your problem, not grounding. It is usually a black wire. It may be under the rear window so you may have to remove some panels to find it. See if it'sloose. It can also be a socket that is causing this that the lights go into.

It may be the hazard switch is bad and by bating on dash it jars the module to work. Have a mechanic scan for codes and see if a module is bad on this causing it.

Hi, a day ago I got in my car to go to work.I noticed on the DIC it flashed up charging system failure. It would go off then come back on all the way to work. Took the car to Advance and they said that the batry was ok. The alterator had the word "ripple" in the read out. Drove it home went to work the next day. Same thing. However driving home this time my DIC read theft bla bla bla, then brakes needs repairing. ABS came on in dash. I had no radio face read out. My turn signal turned off my speed odometer. Then my car windows wouldn't go up only until I switched the car all the way off, then they went up. Then I noticed my door locks were still locked hit the unlock button and they unlocked. Crazy ride home! I looked at the battery. The positive cable was not tight so I tightened it real tight. Tried the car again. Theft warning still displayed on dash. Wonder if there is still a problem?

Yes, this time it to a shop not a salesman. It sounds like your alternator has failed. Have both the battery and the alternator checked

The turn signals and hazards stopped working on my grand prix, so I checked the fuses and they were blown. I've replaced the fuses but it seems to only fix the problem for a short time before the fuses blow again, they dont blow at the same time the hazards only blow when I use them. I've checeked all the bulb's and for any loose wires maybe shorting out to ground but havent seen anything wrong yet. Shortly after this problem started my brake light stopped working, except for the middle one. All the bulbs are fine and no fuses are blown. I dont know if these two problem are related. I also have a remote starter on my car could that be causing the problem?

Maybe a problem with the flasher, I can't tell for sure.

The lower brake lites and turn signals are wired through the multifunction switch, use the same bulb filament, not at the same time. The high-mount brake lite is wired differently.

I had a garage check my car due to tail lights not working. They told me it was the Multi Function Switch. I looked that up on internet (a blog site) and saw where it could be a short and to wiggle the hazard button. I did and the tail lights worked. Now when I put the car in gear (drive) the ABS, SBS, Tracking and lights all go off for a time and then click back on. My husband does not think it is the Multi Function Switch. What could be the problem?

I've got the same problem and have been told it's the same thing. I too played with my hazard switch and when my right blinker would stick I had brake lights. I've ridden that wave for as long as possible and now nothing works. I found a switch lever on Ebay for much cheaper than the $275 that most places are asking for it.
Haven't had the chance to put it in yet but while looking around found a forum that said there's a switch on/around the brake pedal that can be adjusted.
Good luck!

2001 Grand Prix, when using the right turn signal it sounds like it's galloping/ticking at a high rate. The front right turn signal light works, but the rear right does not. Help! We have had this car into the shop alot since we turned 100,000 miles. This car is sucking me dry. Thank you for your time.
