Where is the transmission range control sensor located?

Transmission in limp mode. i can put the car in drive but I can’t put car back in park unless I let up off the brake pedal.

Hi,

The transmission range sensor is on the valve body (inside the transmission). You can access it by removing the transmission oil pan.

See pics 1and 2 below. The remaining pictures are diagnostics (vague).

I changed the conductor plate in transmission still doing the same thing… I can take the car out of park into drive but can’t put it back in park unless I let up off brake pedal and I hear a clicking sound in shifter…

And car is still in limp mode.

Hi,

If the park lock releases when the brake pedal is released, it sounds like something is wired backward. Has anyone done any work at the shifter? Also, have you scanned the entire can-bus?
