Where does this hose reconnect?

2017 FORD TRANSIT
44,000 MILES • 3.2L • 5 CYL • TURBO • 2WD • AUTOMATIC

I recently changed my engine air filter in my power-stroke 3.2 diesel.

I have a hose I don't recall disconnecting hanging from the same clip as the mass air flow sensor electrical connector. One end is connected to the engine, but I can't see where the other one goes.

Markings on it at CK4Q-9s468-CC and p103D >AEM

Hello,

If it came off the intake tubing, then it is likely a vacuum hose.

When you start the engine, does it run rough? Also with the engine running, does that hose have any suction?

I haven't driven the van yet, but it does not have a rough idle.
There isn't any suction in the hose with the engine running.

Take a look at the picture below. That hose appears to go under the intake tubing to connect. See if you can locate any port where that hose shows to go. The second diagram shows where it should go to.

Not sure when this was posted but had the exact same problem and it was causing a P0401 EGR ‘A’ flow insufficient detected. Plugged the line back and it went away. I don’t know if you would call it safe but I was able to drive several hundred miles with it not plugged in. Put me in reduced power mode but not limp mode. FYI

So is the line on now and the code gone and the engine runs okay? I am not sure what you are saying.

The driving part was prior to finding the disconnected line. This post helped me solved the issue. I can see where it was a bit confusing. Everything is working as it should. Thanks
