2008 Ford Transit Crank pulley sheared off

As I was about to set off towing approx 2t I lost powers tearing I turned off engine and looked under bonnet .there I noticed bottom centre pulley had sheared off and fan belt hanging loose . The problem now is the van won't start of which I was told it should could there be a more serious problem

"Doesn't start" can mean a lot of different things, but if that belt also runs the generator, the battery most likely ran down. Fix the power steering, charge the battery at a slow rate for an hour, and it will likely be okay.
