Where does it go the small clamp

2007 GMC SIERRA
82,000 MILES • 1.3L • 6 CYL • 2WD • AUTOMATIC

I received a diagram with the components for the rear drum breaks but it does not show the small clamp as part of it. I know it holds a part of the break shoe, but I have no clue where exactly goes can any one help me?
