Good morning,

There is a code for your suspension on a white tag in your truck. It could be in the glove box or in where the spare tire used to be. There will be a code that I need to help identify the correct shock for your truck.

I attached the 3 possibilities for you.

Also, check and see if you can see a part number on the shock. That would help a lot to identify the correct one.

If you have the Z55 option on the tag in the glove box you have the electronic suspension option. It uses special struts in the front and air adjustable rear shocks with internal electronics as well. They are getting harder to find as only a couple places still make them. The other item is if you have the 22 inch rim option, that means it uses different units as well. Monroe and Sachs both make new units, and Arnott has rebuilt ones. All are expensive.
Monroe numbers are 40044 for the fronts and 40034 for the rears.
Arnott AS-2708 are rear units.

The more common repair is to buy a conversion kit that lets you keep the rear air shocks but uses conventional struts and shocks. You lose the electronic ride control but it is usually a lot cheaper in the end.
