i need to know where the engine coolant temperature sensor is located..

where a sensor is engine coolant temperature sensor?

Hi,
The ECT is located behind the thermostat housing. If you take a look at pic 1 below, it gives an approximate location. Pic 2 shows the sensor.
If you are replacing it, here is a link that explains in general how it is done:

When you install the new one, you need to use a sealer on the threaded portion of the sensor. Here is the part number for the OEM sealer used but you can use something other than is comparable.
MOPAR Part No. 4318031
