When replacing the front sway bar, do I need to drop the sub rame?

Went in for an oil change, and when I was done one of the recommendations they made was the front stabilizer bar needed to be replaced
My SiL is a mechanic and I pay him cash to do work on my car but he’s not sure about my Nissan because he hasn’t looked at it yet and he’s wondering if we need to drop the sub frame to replace the front stabilizer bar.
Is this a requirement?

He probably said you need sway bar links because that is what goes out on these cars. This video shows the job being done on a similar car but the process is the same:
