When I try to accelerate from a stop, the engine RPM's increase but the car moves very slowly.

I just had the timing belt and water pump replaced. However, it took the repair shop at least 5 more times to take it apart and reassemble it to make it right. Now I am experiencing this acceleration problem.

It sounds like the repair shop does not have much experience in this type of repair.

I would take it to another shop and have them verify the valve timing. It sounds like it is not correct
