When I accelerate my car wants to sputter out

When I push the gas and like when I am going up the hill it will kind of want to stall out. it kind of chokes up up and then catches speed and then it chokes up again almost like to fuel filter is clogged.

could be a couple of things but commonly may be the fuel pump, so check pressure with a gauge auto parts rent it and you may need an adapter. See link.
