Why is there two different part numbers for left and right side wheels and is all four wheels 9.5" wide?

Because they are designed to scoop air onto the brakes as they turn and since left and right would rotate in different directions, the wheels have to be different.

Thank you very much my brother. I just bought the car and we have been shopping for another set of wheels and had a parts man at a Chevrolet dealer tell me he did not know why there were two different part numbers. Thanks again!

That is because he is a parts guy and does not work on them. Unless this is a zr1 all wheels are 9.5" if a ZR1 convert or coupe they are 11" in back.

Thanks you. I was a mechanic myself when I worked, but been retired for seventeen years and a lot has changed, but I try to stay in touch with things time to time. Thanks again.
