Loud clicking/popping noise after replacing front wheel hub bearings

I replaced front wheel hub bearings and now I hear a loud clicking/popping noise when I put it into reverse or drive..

More then likely this is one of two things. First the bearing that you installed is defective or the CV axle is not fully installed.

Take a look at this material and if you find the axle is installed correctly I would suspect the bearings are the issue. I assume this is happening when you are moving and not just changing gears. If it is just during changing gears then I would think the axle is the issue.
