Wheel bearing problems

Mechanics need a lot of expensive equipment and tools but not for this job. Do you have the new bearing to look at? Have you removed the three mounting bolts? What are you banging on? There's no room to hit the assembly from in back. I assume you have the axle nut off too. If the three mounting bolts aren't removed you will be trying to pull the center hub out of the bearing. You need a hydraulic press to do that, and these assemblies aren't designed to come apart that way.

Yes I do have the new ones and I have removed the three mounting bolts. I removed the strut bots and I am using cinder blocks to hold it up and hitting the back of the bearings, I moved the shaft to the outside of the center of the bearings. Everything is moved and is all dissembled it is just rusted together really badly and I am letting it sit over night with pb blaster.

I've heard PB Blaster is good stuff, but the best I've found is "Rust Penetrant" from the Chrysler dealer's parts department. It does in ten minutes what WD-40 does in a weekend.

I've never had a wheel bearing rusted that tight even on a Ford truck. I replaced the first bearing on my '88 Grand Caravan two years ago and the old one popped right off. That's my daily driver and it lives outdoors in Wisconsin, the road salt capital of the world. Your vehicle is only five years old. I'm very surprised the bearing is coming out that hard. You might try reinstalling the three mounting bolts half way, then tapping on their heads. Also look if there's room to pound a flat chisel between the spindle and bearing. That's what I do at two or three places to remove Ford and Dodge truck bearings.
