While driving my car will just jerk out of nowhere and it does it when I stop too

And when it jerks my speedometer goes down then jumps right back up to where it was. And a couple of times when I'm sitting in the car it will jerk then shut off.

This sounds like a torque converter issue since it is shutting off, but we need to start with checking the fluid level and condition.

Below is the process on how o change the fluid and filter which is what I would do if the level is a little low or dirty.
