My car is an SEL model flex fuel. I am trying to find the correct Ford transmission fluid so it can be changed. this should not be so ridiculously hard to figure out.
Help please!

Well being that is the 3.0 flex fuel it should have the six speed 6F35 transmission in it. That transmission uses Motorcraft MERCON LV ATF or equivalent in the transmission itself.

It uses SAE 80W-90 Gear lube in the rear axle.

SAE 75W-140 Synthetic in the front power transfer unit this unit is supposed to be "sealed for life" but I would change it if possible.

Hope that answers the question.
