A common tire size for the 2002 Ford Explorer 4WD is P235/70R16
You might want to consider dedicated snow tires for winter driving, such as:
Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V2
Michelin X-Ice Xi3
Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice WRT
