You'll have to convert this from miles, but I recommend every 75,000 miles unless the owner's manual recommends something considerably different. Honda used to recommend every 75,000 miles, and the timing belt commonly broke at around 65,000 miles, leading to bent valves and a very expensive repair. Some manufacturers recommend every 100,000 miles, but if your engine is an "interference" design, I wouldn't wait that long. I don't own any cars with interference engines, so if a timing belt breaks on one of mine, it's not that big of a repair. I just tow it home and throw on a new belt. When you have an interference engine the repair involves removing the cylinder head to replace the bent valves. Recommending early replacement of the timing belt is to avoid that costly repair.
