Battery draining down

2004 FORD ESCAPE
225,000 MILES • 3.0L • V6 • AUTOMATIC

I have replaced both alternator and battery in my car. Both new have been tested and are good. Voltage good on battery. When running something is still draining and making car runs sluggish. Please help!

do a parasitic draw test on battery also check belt with a gauge normal recommended replacement of belt and tensioner is 60,000 miles.

When you say sluggish, what do you mean? The vehicle does not accelerate? Seems to be held back by something? Does the engine seem to rev up easily? Does it only act sluggish while moving?

Rpm's go down until car goes off. After further investigation I have found two wires melted together that are being replaced. I am hoping this fixes the problem.

The melted wires could easily be the issue. Post the wire colors either way as information like that could help others as well. Thanks.

Could have been a fuseable link that would explain the lack of charging the battery if that's what's happening.
