On vacuum line there is a round piece that has a spring inside the bottom of it and two lines going on the side on the top and one on the bottom that runs to a plastic filter and it goes on the back side of carburetor. The lines that connect to the black piece that joins this part goes by the front of carburetor and go on the A/C line. The part with spring inside it caught fire and burned the vacuum lines and plug wires. That’s why I’m replacing. If anyone knows what that part called let me know please. Took it to the parts house and they couldn’t find it in the computer. I’ll put a few photos of the vacuum lines. The first picture is the part I need which has yellow spring inside the bottom of it and the second picture is if you look by black and yellow hose you can see where the part goes and the lines running to and from it third picture is of black piece that has lines running into both sides the lines on far side goes to the front of carburetor and goes on main A/C line. If I can’t find parts any idea how to bypass the parts and tie lines together? Fourth picture is of lines going to front of carburetor and then going on main A/C line with cut off valve. The last picture is A/C line with shut off valve. If you look at top left corner of second picture you can see plastic filter on the back side of carburetor. Any help is greatly appreciated. I’ve searched online within 300 miles and no same model van for sale or for parts available. If I can’t find parts I’ll probably part it out later on. Just frustrated.

Good afternoon,

That is the heater control valve for the heater core. Is this what you have?

I’m not sure. Do you know if that has a spring inside the bottom? It looks similar to it only difference between them is original part is metal and other is not but it should hook up the same correct? If so I’ll try it.

There is a spring inside the heater control valve to hold the valve closed when commanded.
