When I start to accelerate and get up to 20 miles per hour I start to hear a loud metal to metal knocking noise that sounds like something lose and hitting the ground.

Hi,

That's a tough one without hearing it. Is it loud enough for you to record and upload for me to hear?

Also, take a look under the vehicle. Take a rubber mallet and tap on the exhaust system and see if you can recreate the sound.

When driving, pay attention to if there is something that changes the sound. For example, does pressing the brakes make it change pitch? Does leaving off the throttle change it?

Also, take a look through this link. It discusses noises from the suspension and drivetrain. See if anything helps.

Again, if possible, record it and upload it for me to hear.

Take care,

Joe
