what does the A/C clutch plug into?

there's two wires coming from the A/C clutch, one is the ground that's screwed to the compressor and then the other wire has a connector at the end of it. does it connect to the compressor? if it connects to the compressor can I cut off both connectors and just wire them together? there's only one wire from the clutch and the piece it connects to only has one wire as well. like it's just connecting them except with a connector.

I attached the wiring diagram for you to view. It identifies the color of the wire that goes to the clutch. I highlighted it for you to view.

The feed wire to the compressor is red and should be in a harness near the compressor itself. You may have to look around to find it.
