What controls my vents

My vents only work on the dash vents and defrost vents but not the floor. What controls that when you turn the switch to floor vent?

Hi Christen,

The mode door actuator controls the distribution of the air. Basically, this is an actuator that moves a door inside the HVAC housing that directs the air to whichever vents you chose.

Sounds like this has failed. Unfortunately, they are pretty common. Here is the procedure on how to replace it:
