went to Dr.'s drove fine when leaving it stalled just died wouldn't crank after that and still hasn't.

You're going to have to clear up the confusion. "Crank" and "turn over" are the same thing. I can't tell if it does or it doesn't based on the fuel pump and battery because those will cause completely different symptoms. If the starter cranks the engine but the engine doesn't run, that could be a fuel pump issue, but there are a lot of things that have to work before the fuel pump will turn on. If the battery is bad or run down, the starter won't crank the engine, so there's no point in even bringing up the fuel pump. We haven't gotten to the point that it is needed yet.

The fuel filter won't become totally blocked so quickly that the engine runs fine one minute but won't run at all a few minutes later. Plugged fuel filters cause other symptoms but not no-starts.

Why is the battery dead? Is it because it ran down while you were driving or because you kept trying to start an engine that isn't going to run? Have you tried recharging it at a slow rate for an hour with a portable charger?
