will not start

I was driving and it stopped. when I tried to restart the car nothing. It wouldnt turn over. no starter noise. we tried jumping it and still nothing. we checked the fuses. they were all good. when you turn the switch on you can hear the fuel pump and the electric windows and locks work. the dash lights are on and bright. the system is showing 11.5 volts. Also, I do not know if this matters. When I got out to look under the hood I shut the door. When I came back the door was locked. But the driver side rear door was unlocked.
