Weird noises

I was driving and started hearing weird squeaking noises and then felt like some just fell out of the rear of my car.

I was driving and started hearing squeaking noise and then as I was driving a little more, it sounded like something dropped in the back of my car, but it could just be a pressure thing.

Is that the parking brake cable? If so that is a strange one, I have never seen that before. I would put the car on a lift to do a full inspection before driving it anymore.
