Weird noise when driving at high speeds

When I got on the freeway, I noticed that when I go above 60 MPH there was this spinning disc noise, closest things like it would be if you've ever put a scratched CD in a CD player.

Hi,

Was there anything that caused it to change in volume or pitch when it was happening? For example, if you applied the brakes, did it change? Also, if you were making a slight turn in either direction, did it change?
