Weird knocking when turning (full lock) left and right directions/sides?

When I turn left or right and I reach the full steering range in either direction, there is a fairly loud, clunk knock sound. The sound is irregularly and doesn't happen every turn, it varies in severity seemingly at random. Although there is at least one knock each time, sometimes several in concession. Turning left seems a little worse than right.

I think the suspension has had a high lift and there are some larger than stock Mud tires on the rims.

I hope I'm right in thinking that the Tacoma model is the US sister of the international
Hilux model. I'm based in Australia and that's what we call them here.

Many thanks,
Ryan

It is common to have the CV axles go out in these trucks which can make the noise you have described. Can you please shoot a quick video with your phone so I can hear the noise? That way I can tell for sure what's going on. You can upload it here with your response. Here is how to change out the CV axles in case you need them.

Here is a generic guide to help you step by step with instructions in the diagrams below to show you how on your car:

You can get axles for cheap on Amazon. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

Thanks for the video, it helps. These noises don't seem to be the CV axles. I would use a flashlight to make sure the suspension mounts or frame is not broken. I have seen the upper control arm mount come off of the frame which could be the case for your problem. Can you tell where the noise is coming from, front/ rear right or left? I would start the inspection where you think you hear the noise from. Please upload images of anything you find questionable.
