I've bypassed the A/C compressor a couple months ago and thought the loud sound coming from under the hood was a belt issue. But after further inspection we are unable to identify what the sound is. It's a constant revving sound that continues while driving. I've Google's the noise and keep getting several diagnosis. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It definitely sounds like it is a belt related item as it is rotational but this doesn't narrow it down enough to give you clear direction.

Can you get a recording of it from where you hear it the loudest and I am sure we can get on the same page? Let's start here and see what next steps are. Thanks

Okay. That is definitely one of the pulleys. Clearly it is hard to tell which one but the way to confirm this is remove the belt and start the car for a minute and make sure the noise is gone. You car will run just fine on the battery for long enough to verify the noise is gone. Once we do that, then leave the belt off and spin each of the pulleys by hand to see if any of them feel stiff or rough when you spin it. They should all spin nice and smooth.

The other thing I need to know is how you bypassed the A/C compressor? Did you just get a smaller belt or did you install a bypass pulley?
