Water pump replacement

Was needing some torque specs and a how to instructions on changing water pump out.

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.

First, here is a link that shows how in general one is replaced:

Here are the directions specific to your vehicle. The attached pictures correlate with the directions.

1NZ-FE Cooling: water pump (for sedan): removal

1. Disconnect cable from negative battery terminal

2. Drain engine coolant see: coolant > removal and replacement > sedan

3. Remove engine under cover rh

4. Remove fan & generator v belt see: drive belt > removal and replacement > removal

5. Remove generator assembly see: alternator > removal and replacement > removal

6. Remove engine mounting insulator sub-assembly rh see: oil pump, engine > removal and replacement > removal

7. Remove water pump pulley

(a)Using SST, hold the water pump pulley.

SST : 09960-10010

(b)Remove the 3 bolts and remove the water pump pulley.

8. Remove engine water pump assembly

(a)remove the 3 bolts and 2 nuts and remove the engine water pump assembly and gasket.

Installation
1nz-fe cooling: water pump (for sedan): installation

1. Install engine water pump assembly

(a)install the engine water pump assembly through a new gasket with the 3 bolts and 2 nuts.

torque : 11 nm (112 kgf-cm, 8.1 ft-lbf)

2. Install water pump pulley

(a)provisionally install the water pump pulley with the 3 bolts.

(b)using sst, hold the engine water pump pulley.

(c)tighten the 3 bolts to the specified torque.

torque : 15 nm (153 kgf-cm, 11 ft-lbf)

3. Install engine mounting insulator sub-assembly rh see: oil pump, engine > removal and replacement > installation

4. Install generator assembly see: alternator > removal and replacement > installation

5. Install fan & generator v belt see: drive belt > removal and replacement > installation

6. Adjust fan & generator v belt see: drive belt > removal and replacement > installation

7. Inspect fan & generator v belt see: drive belt > component tests and general diagnostics > sedan

8. Connect cable to negative battery terminal

torque : 5.4 nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf)

9. Add engine coolant see: coolant > removal and replacement > sedan

10. Check for engine coolant leakage see: cooling system > component tests and general diagnostics > sedan

11. Install engine under cover rh

Also, what brakes would you recommend for everyday driving so on ceramic, semi metallic, organic or what?
