The water pump is locked up. There are no leaks. Do I need to replace the housing or just the impeller?

Which water pump is locked up the mechanical or electric? Here is how to change out the electric water pump which I would change as a unit and not try to take it apart to fix it. It would be the mechanical pump that is ran off the serpentine belt. I have discovered that the pump that is in the truck is a single assembly unit so the whole housing must be changed. I no longer need assistance. Thank you
