Warning Light for brakes turned on, and my diagnostic port used to install an ALL STATE Insurance Drive Wise monitor does not work. Are my brakes bad, do I have bad fuses that impact the warning light and cause my insurance drive monitor device to malfunction? Brakes have 40000 to 50000 miles. This car runs really good and is very clean.

Is that light red or yellow? If it's red, start by checking the level of the brake fluid in the reservoir. If it's low, there's either a leak or the front disc brake pads are worn and need to be replaced. Your mechanic will start with a brake inspection to verify the cause for the light being on.
