After I picked up my car from the mechanic for a rough idle issue, he said it was a vacuum leak and replaced something, I should have asked. I planned a drive and after about 40 minutes the EPC light came on. I continued to my destination. The car felt fine. After about 30 minutes I started the car and the EPC light was off but the 4-way emergency flashers didn't work. The signals were fine. There's quite a list of possible issues. any knowledge/direction would be great. thank you

The EPC light is for the Electronic Power Control system. Normally this means there is an issue with the cruise control, throttle position sensor, throttle body or something related.

However, the next step is to check for any codes as we will need to know where to start.

The flashers may be related to this but we need to start with codes and go from there.

If there are no codes then we can tackle the flashers next. I am attaching the wiring diagrams for the flashers if we want to jump to it anyway and check voltage from the button to the VES control module.

Let us know what you find with this this. Thanks
